It’s inevitable, cruise ships will experience mechanical failure, there will be missed or delayed flights, bad weather will result in trip cancellation or interruption, and that’s just to name a few occurrences that can sabotage a vacation. We cannot predict or even prepare for these events; however, you can protect your vacation package. Vacations are investments, no matter how much or little you paid, you invested your hard-earned money and valuable time to take the trip that you have been dreaming, saving, and planning for months. There are all types of coverage to protect your vacation such as; cancel for any reason; weather coverage, price guarantee, medical expense coverage, trip delay, baggage delay, rental car collision, job loss, etc. The list goes on and on.
You may, if you have not already encountered, one or more of these situations. It’s best to protect your vacation investment with a plan that will provide you with peace of mind. There are so many different plans that can protect your vacation and the cost is very little compared to the amount you spent for the purchase of your vacation. As a travel professional, my advice to you is to empower yourself, don’t be reactive and weather the storms as they come. I always offer my clients travel protection coverage and currently, I require that my clients sign a waiver if they decline travel protection coverage. I value my clients’ investment and I do not want any of my clients to lose their vacation investment due to circumstances beyond their control.
